EBAC will have a booth during the ESC Congress 2009 in Barcelona. This will be the opportunity to meet with EBAC representatives and staff, to test the EBAC on-line accreditation system and check the accreditation procedures.

EBAC Accredited Educational Programmes

The EBAC Board will continue the pilot project concerning accreditation of educational programmes taking place outside of the ESC Congress 2009 scientific sessions schedule.

These educational programmes will be announced as EBAC Accredited Educational Programmes.

What is an EBAC Accredited Educational Programme?
An EBAC Accredited Educational Programme is organised by a scientific or academic CME Provider and the appointed Course Director is responsible for the quality of its scientific content. These programmes are supported by an unrestricted educational grant from a healthcare company. These educational programmes - like all EBAC accredited programmes - comply with the EBAC policies, guidelines and requirements concerning accreditation of CME events.
CME credits
Extra CME credits may be collected by participants to these EBAC Accredited Educational Programmes (on top of the World Congress CME Credits). EBAC Certificates for these specific programmes will be distributed to participants by the programme organiser and not by the ESC.
The Application Procedure
The application procedure is exactly the same as for all other programmes submitted to EBAC for accreditation - click here for details. It is performed on-line from the EBAC website ("Accreditation Services" button on the left hand side menu).

Fees
The Administrative fee is 150 EUR (+ Tax) per Application Form submitted (non-refundable)
The Accreditation fee is 1200 EUR (+ Tax) per Application Form - if the accreditation is awarded
