EBAC and ESH
EBAC signed a cooperation agreement with
the European Society of Hypertension (ESH) in May 2007,
for a 24 months pilot period.
Prof. S. Erdine (TR) was officially appointed as Representative
of the ESH to the EBAC Board and will as such, actively participate
in all EBAC activities, online accreditations, discussions
and meetings.
"The objectives of ESH are to
promote, endorse and organise activities involved with the
continuing medical education in the field of hypertension
and associated cardiovascular diseases.
Such activities are carried out primarily by an annual
meeting and through special scientific meetings, seminars,
publications and specific educational programs.
Moreover, ESH encourage and promote, alone or in conjunction
with other scientific societies and members of health delivery
professions, postgraduate training and international exchange
of investigators, teachers, fellows and students."
EBAC Accreditation
Hypertension related educational programmes can be submitted
to EBAC for accreditation and will be evaluated by specialists
in the field according to EBAC standards.

The "17th
European Meeting on Hypertension",
held in Milan from June 15 until June 19,
2007,
has been accredited by EBAC for 21 hours of external
CME credits.
Each participant should claim only those
hours of credit that have actually been spent in the
educational activity. EBAC works according to the
quality standards of the European Accreditation Council
for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME), which is
an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists
(UEMS).

In order to apply for EBAC acceditation, it
is necessary to register as a CME provider. Once registered,
it will be possible to submit applications for accreditation.
