EBAC and ESH

EBAC signed a cooperation agreement with the European Society of Hypertension (ESH) in May 2007, for a 24 months pilot period.

Prof. S. Erdine (TR) was officially appointed as Representative of the ESH to the EBAC Board and will as such, actively participate in all EBAC activities, online accreditations, discussions and meetings.

"The objectives of ESH are to promote, endorse and organise activities involved with the continuing medical education in the field of hypertension and associated cardiovascular diseases.

Such activities are carried out primarily by an annual meeting and through special scientific meetings, seminars, publications and specific educational programs.

Moreover, ESH encourage and promote, alone or in conjunction with other scientific societies and members of health delivery professions, postgraduate training and international exchange of investigators, teachers, fellows and students."

EBAC Accreditation

Hypertension related educational programmes can be submitted to EBAC for accreditation and will be evaluated by specialists in the field according to EBAC standards.

The "17th European Meeting on Hypertension",
held in Milan from June 15 until June 19, 2007,
has been accredited by EBAC for 21 hours of external CME credits.

Each participant should claim only those hours of credit that have actually been spent in the educational activity. EBAC works according to the quality standards of the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME), which is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS).

In order to apply for EBAC acceditation, it is necessary to register as a CME provider. Once registered, it will be possible to submit applications for accreditation.

Please refer to the Documents Library Section of this website. You will find all the guidelines regarding the accreditation procedure.

Please do not hesitate to contact the EBAC secretariat, should you have any question or need any assistance with the application procedure, via e-mail contact@ebac-cme.org or during normal office hours at +33 492 94 86 40
