EBAC board

Board constitution and legitimacy
EBAC is an independent joint initiative between
the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and the Cardiology
Section of the UEMS (Union Européenne des Médecins
Spécialistes).
The competence and legitimacy of the Board are
assured by these two parent organizations.
EBAC works according to the quality standards of the European
Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME),
an institution of the UEMS, which formally represents European
countries.
EBAC consists of three delegates mandated by
the UEMS-Cardiology Section, three delegates mandated by the
ESC, one delegate representing the AEPC and one delegate representing
the EAS.

Since June 2005, the increasing number
of international CME programmes submitted for accreditation,
lead the EBAC Board to put in place the "EBAC Reviewers
Committee". The cooperating team of external evaluators
shares the review process of international CME activities
in cardiology submitted to EBAC for accreditation.
