Collecting
CME Credits/ The EBAC Attendance
Certificate/ Reporting CME Credits

Collecting
CME Credits
In
countries which have CME system in place, physicians are
obliged to report their participation in CME activities.
For this purpose CME Certificates are issued at the
end of all accredited CME programmes (events, and distance
learning programmes).
These certificates can then be presented to the demanding
authority. The number of CME credits required per year can
vary from country to country.

The
EBAC Attendance Certificate
According to the requirements of EBAC towards the accredited
CME provider/organizer, every participant of a CME event accredited
by EBAC should receive at the end of the programme an Attendance
Certificate with the number of CME points he just earned.
The number of credits will depend on the time the doctor spent
in the CME activity.
It is always the organiser
of the event who is responsible for distributing the EBAC
certifcates to particpants, based on their effective participation
to the programme.
For large events, there is usually
a CME desk where participants can obtain their EBAC
certificates. For smaller events the certificates are often
distributed at the end of the session when participants return
their evaluation forms. For all distance learning programmes,
the EBAC certificate is sent to the participant upon completion
of a Multiple Choice Questionnaire assessing the knowledge
acquired during of the CME session.

Reporting
CME Credits
Once collected,
the EBAC CME Certificate should be sent to the respective
national CME Authority.
Depending on the countries and the CME system in place, it
may be the National Cardiac Society or any other institutional
CME authority.
