EBAC Structure


Legal structure

The European Board for Accreditation in Cardiology (E.B.A.C.) started its activities in 2001, as an independent joint initiative between the ESC (European Society of Cardiology) and the Cardiology Section of the UEMS (Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes).

Today EBAC operates under the umbrella of European Cardiology Section Foundation, a non-profit, charitable Foundation of UEMS Cardiology Section. Cooperation partners are ESC, ESH and EAS.

EBAC consists of an Advisory Committee reporting to the European Cardiology Section Foundation (ECSF) and a Reviewing Committee reporting to EBAC GmbH.
